Jinx Print Lab is an independent fabrication workspace in Chicago, engineered to build physical hardware and high-durability tour merch. We don't farm our work out to massive overseas promotional companies. We prototype, print, weld, and cure everything in-house.
If it goes in a tour van, on a stage, or at a merch table, we manufacture it to survive.
OUR CAPABILITIES & HARDWARE
Industrial UV Printing We run dedicated xTool UV printing arrays. Instead of cheap pad-printing that flakes off after a week, we use UV-cured polymer inks that bond directly to metal, polycarbonates, and acrylics. This is how we produce permanent, full-color graphics on flip lighters, dugouts, and stainless steel dog tags.
Advanced Additive Manufacturing (3D Printing) We utilize both FDM and SLA technologies to produce short-run physical merchandise and structural prototypes. We do not print throwaway plastic toys.
- Engineering-Grade Filaments: We print structural components using Carbon Fiber PETG, Polycarbonate (PC), ASA, and Industrial Nylon.
- Precision Resins: For high-detail physical modeling and hardware, we utilize Formlabs engineering resins.
Technical Metalworking & Fabrication The Lab is equipped for direct metal manipulation and jewelry-grade hardware fabrication. Our capabilities include:
- Pulse arc welding for precision metal joins.
- Metallurgical alloying and chemical patinas for custom surface finishes.
- Riveting and structural soldering.
- Our proprietary "fused-matrix" manufacturing process for creating custom, impact-resistant guitar picks from heat-pressed FDM sheets.
- Precise fiber laser cutting of alloys up to 3mm thick with little kerf lines or dross
- Foundry capabilities for casting of metals
